Communication support

Our Communication Support Sessions are personalized, remote 1:1 coaching sessions designed to help students and young adults on the autism spectrum strengthen practical communication, conversation, and self-expression skills across academic, social, and professional settings.

This structured series of 8 individualized sessions provides a supportive environment where participants can practice dialogue, build confidence, and develop strategies for navigating real-world interactions with the guidance of an education coach.

Sessions are tailored to each student’s goals and may focus on:

• Career readiness communication and workplace interaction skills
• Social communication and relationship-building strategies
• Parent-supported communication goals and family collaboration
• College readiness and self-advocacy skills
• Conversational practice and dialogue development
• Professional email and interview communication
• Understanding tone, body language, and social cues
• Building confidence in speaking, listening, and responding
• Navigating group discussions and peer interactions
• Developing independent communication strategies for daily life

Through guided role-play, coaching conversations, and individualized practice, students are supported in learning how to communicate more comfortably and effectively in environments that may otherwise feel overwhelming or unfamiliar.

Each session is adapted to the student’s communication style, processing needs, and developmental goals, creating a respectful and encouraging space for growth at their own pace.

This program is ideal for autistic students and young adults preparing for greater independence in college, work, and social environments who would benefit from structured communication coaching and consistent practice.
